RAF Valley is home to No. 4 Flying Training School training pilots to fly fast jets. 4 FTS is split into two squadrons; 208Sqn (advanced flying training), 19Sqn (tactics and weapons training).

Valley is also home to C Flight of 22 Sqn with Sea King helicopters in a Search and Rescue role. The airfield is also home to SARTU (Search and Rescue Training Unit) using Squirrel and Griffin helicopters.
